How To Make A Rhinestone Wrap Bracelet
Materials
36″ Embroidery Thread Turquoise
36″ Embroidery Thread Sand
36″ Embroidery Thread Olive
7″ Rhinestone cupchain, 4mm
24″ Brown leather cord
1/2″ Vintage-style Shank button
Steps
1. Fold the leather cord in half. Start with the Olive thread. Wrap one end of the thread around the folded end of the leather cord starting one half inch from the end. Tie the thread to itself.
2. Wrap the thread around the two cords five times hiding the knot by covering it with the wraps.
3. Hold the end of the cupchain against the leather cords at the last thread wrap. Wrap the thread five times around the cupchain between the first and second rhinestone.
4. Wrap the cupchain and two leather cords with the thread wrapping five times between each rhinestone. (Be sure to pull the cupchain out to its full length.) Continue wrapping until you have 2″ left of the thread.
5. Separate the thread into two sections. Wrap them in opposite directions around the next rhinestone and tie them in a double knot around the back. (Trim ends to 1/8″ if desired.) Tuck the thread ends between the leather cords.
6. Begin with the Sand thread. Wrap it around the same rhinestone as the previous knot. Tie a knot in back. Wrap the cupchain and two leather cords with the Sand thread wrapping five times between each rhinestone. Continue wrapping until you have 2″ left of the thread.
7. Next use the Turquoise thread. Wrap it around the same rhinestone as the previous knot. Tie a knot in back. Wrap the cupchain and two leather cords with the Turquoise thread wrapping five times between each rhinestone. Continue until all the cupchain is covered with thread, then make five more wraps.
8. Separate the thread into two sections. Wrap them in opposite directions around the next rhinestone and tie them in a double knot around the back. (Trim ends to 1/8″ if desired.) Tuck the thread ends between the leather cords.
9. Slide the shank button onto one of the leather cords up to the threads. Tie the two cords together in an overhand knot. Slip the loop end of the bracelet over the button to clasp the Rhinestone Wrap Bracelet.
