Here’s a nifty gifty to make with the kids – a Matchbox Mini Scrapbook! The matchbox has a built in little drawer to tuck the mini scrapbook into. Super cute!
How To Make A Matchbox Mini Scrapbook
Materials
1 Matchbox (with matches removed), 1½” x 2”
9 to 13 Photos, approx. 1” x 1½”
Printed scrapbook paper
Polid scrapbook paper
Alphabet stickers, 1/2″ to 1” tall
Small stickers
Mod Podge
Craft paintbrush
Scissors
Steps
1. Cut a piece of the printed scrapbook paper to fit the top of the matchbox.
Glue to the top of the matchbox using Mod Podge. Repeat to cover the back.
2. Cut a strip of solid paper as wide as the inside of the matchbox drawer.
Fold the strip back and forth so each rectangle is the same size as the matchbox drawer. Glue one end of the strip into the bottom of the drawer using Mod Podge.
3. Print the photo on Laser paper to the right size. Cut them out.
Use Mod Podge to glue a photo to each section of the paper strip.
Decorate the photos with tiny stickers.
4. Fold the strip up and tuck into the drawer. Slide the drawer into the matchbox. Spell out “MOM” or “XOX” on the top of the matchbox. Decorate with stickers.
Isn’t this the cutest craft?! We’ve made these with all pet photos, all baby pics, and for a sporting event. For each one we themed the cover to reflect the scrapbook inside.
Happy Crafting!
