How To Make Beaded Chandelier Earrings
Materials
2 Faceted rondelles, green AB, 5mmx8mm
6 Faceted rondelles, green AB, 3mmx4mm
6 Headpins, gold
2 Chandelier findings (1 loop on top and 3 below), gold
2 earring wires, gold
2 daisy beadcaps to fit large rondelles, gold
6 wheel spacers, gold, 4mm
Tools
Chain-nose pliers
Round-nose pliers
Wire cutters
Steps
1. Make the center dangle. To do this, slide a small spacer, a large rondelle, a daisy beadcap, and a small rondelle onto a headpin. Make a wrapped loop to attach the dangle to the chandelier finding.
To make a wrapped loop, grasp the end of the headpin just above the last bead with the round-nose pliers. Grasp the tail of the headpin and bend it over the pliers 90 degrees. Move the pliers and grasp the wire above the 90 degree bend. Wrap the end of the headpin over the pliers to create a half loop. Slide onto the chandelier finding. Reposition the pliers, placing the bottom jaws of the pliers in the partial loop and complete the loop. Grasp the loop flat with the pliers and use your fingers to wrap the end of the headpin around twice. Trim the end.
2. Make the small dangle by placing a small spacer and a small rondelle on a headpin. Repeat the wrapped loop instructions above to attach the small dangle to the chandelier finding. Repeat to make a second small dangle.
3. Attach the top of the chandelier finding to the earring wire. To do this, use the chain-nose pliers to open the earring wire loop sideways. Slide on the chandelier finding, then press the loop closed. Repeat to make a matching earring for a pair!
We love how these earrings turned out. So pretty! They make great holiday gifts, are lovely for bridesmaids, or just to dress up a pair of blue jeans! Let us know if you make some!
