How To Make A Boho Beaded Sunglasses Chain
Materials
Beads to cover 30″ of wire
2 Eyeglass Connectors
Bead stringing wire
2 Crimp beads
Tools
Wire cutters
Chain-nose pliers
Steps
1. Start with one of the eyeglass connectors. You can get these online or at your local craft shop. They look like this. Cut a 35″ piece of bead stringing wire. Slide a crimp bead onto the end of the bead stringing wire. Loop the end of the bead stringing wire through the eyeglass connector, then back through the crimp bead. Slide the crimp bead up to the eyeglass connector. Press the crimp bead closed with the chain-nose pliers.
2. Slide your beads onto the bead stringing wire. We chose a variety of beads that all look great together. We wanted an overall neutral color story but added some pops of green and blue. You can add interest by choosing a few larger beads like the flower-shaped wooden beads we used. Adding in silver or gold beads to match the eyeglass connector beads will add shine and dress up the strand.
3. When your eyeglass chain is the right length for you (try it on!), slide a crimp bead onto the end of the bead stringing wire. Then slide the wire end into the second eyeglass connector and back through the crimp bead. Pull the wire so the beads are all pressed together without gaps. Then press the crimp bead closed over the wire. Trim the end with wire cutters. How easy was that?!
Next get out in the sunshine and show off your own Boho Beaded Sunglasses Chain!
