Sparkly vintage brooches and earrings turn a plain frame into a star!
Materials
Picture frame, 4″x6″ (we got ours at a thrift store!)
Krylon Short Cuts Metallic Spray Paint, Gold Leaf
10-12 old earrings and brooches with blue and clear rhinestones
20-25 Swarovski flatback rhinestones, 3mm and 5mm, cobalt blue and crystal
Beacon’s Glass, Metal & More glue
Wire cutters
Steps
1. Spray paint the frame with the Gold Leaf paint and let dry.
2. Snip the backs of the brooches and earrings off with the wire cutters.
3. Arrange the brooches and earrings on the frame so the two largest brooches are in the upper left and lower right corners of the frame. Place the rest of the jewelry pieces on either side of those brooches, going from largest to smallest.
4. Glue the brooches and earrings onto the frame using the Glass, Metal & More. Fill in the open spaces around the jewelry pieces with flatback rhinestones.
Pretty Present: A bedazzled frame makes a great gift for a wedding! Simply paint the frame silver instead of gold and adorn it with vintage jewelry featuring all white crystals.
