Jasper, Tiger’s Eye, and Turquoise Stretch Bracelets

We have some fun news to share, and it’s all thanks to you! Our YouTube videos How To Make A Stretch Bracelet and How To Make a Polished Gemstone Stretch Bracelet have been viewed over 75,000 times! Looks like you all love stretch bracelets as much as we do! So we got out our gemstones and made new versions in Jasper, Tiger’s Eye, and Turquoise! We love stacking these bracelets up––they all look so good together!

Jasper

Jasper is one of our favorite gemstones. It’s a quartz and chalcedony aggregate and comes in beautiful variegated blues, greens, and browns. We love how every bead is different and looks like it was artfully created by Mother Earth! We made this Jasper Stretch Bracelet following our Polished Gemstone Stretch Bracelet how-to. We just swapped out the White Howlite beads for Jasper beads of the same size. You could make this bracelet with larger or smaller beads and just adjust the number used to fit your wrist.

Tiger’s Eye

We also made the stretch bracelet in Tiger’s Eye. This gemstone is a type of quartz that has a silky luster in it that resembles a cat’s eye. In gemology, the effect is called Chatoyancy. Word of the day! We call it gorgeous! The warm browns and golds have an almost wood-like feel, but the smooth polish feels like marble.

Turquoise

For our turquoise version, we chose beads with a lot of veining. The beautiful blue-green color comes from copper in the gemstone. It is simply one of our favorite colors, so easy choice there!

Finished Bracelets Handmade By Us

If you’d prefer a finished bracelet, we have those too! We get lots of requests for the actual pieces of jewelry we make for our tutorials. So we handmade a limited number of bracelets ourselves using the same materials. You can buy an already-made stretch bracelet in our Etsy store. These make lovely gifts, too! They come in a sweet organdy drawstring bag packed on cotton in a gift box.
