What’s more fun than a glittered shoes? Glittered shoes with ribbon roses and rhinestones! We love how these decorated ballet flats turned out. And they were so easy to make!
Materials
1 pair of glittered ballet flats
1 yard lace trim with scalloped edge, cream
1 yard satin ribbon, cream, 7/8” wide
2 rhinestone buttons, 7/16” diameter
cream sewing thread
Tools
Beacon’s Fabri-Tac glue
sewing needle
scissors
Steps
1. Cut the piece of lace trim in half and set one length aside. Sew along the un-scalloped edge of the lace using a simple straight stitch. When you reach the end, pull the thread and scrunch the lace to the other end (leave the thread attached!). Swirl and layer the ruffled lace to make a rose shape while holding the thread taut. Sew back and forth across the back of the lace rose to secure. Repeat to make a second lace rose.
2. Make 2 ribbon roses using the same technique as step one. Center a ribbon rose on a lace rose and use the Fabri-Tac to glue it in place. Sew a rhinestone button into the center of the layered rose. Repeat to make a second layered rose topped with a rhinestone.
3. Glue a layered rose onto each shoe using the Fabri-Tac and let dry.
