How To Make An Easy Tassel Necklace
Materials
Embroidery floss (keep the whole skein in the wrapper), blue
Seed beads, size 11/0 in blue
Blue sewing thread
Beading needle
24 inches gold cable chain
26-gauge brass wire
Gold bead cap
Jump ring, gold
Tools
Scissors
Wire cutters
Chain-nose pliers
Steps
1. Cut a three inch piece of wire and bend it into a hairpin shape. Fold the embroidery floss skein in half and slide the hairpin into the fold.
2. Twist ends together and slide through bead cap. Wrap ends up through the jump ring. Wrap ends back around neck of wire twice and trim with wire cutters. Remove paper wrappers from skein. Cut bottom of tassel and trim to make the ends even.
3. Cut an 8” piece of thread. Thread the beading needle and double the thread over. Knot the end. Sew through the embroidery floss at the top of the tassel, then back through the tassel catching the loop at the end of the knotted thread. Slide on 3” of seed beads to match the tassel. Wrap around the top of the tassel then sew through top of tassel going through a seed bead on each side to secure. Tie a knot and trim.
4. Open the jump ring, slide the ends of the chain into the jump ring. Close the jump ring.
So easy and so pretty!
