How do I reshape the hook on fish hook earrings?
Hi Glenda! Fish hook earrings that you buy are probably too hard to reshape. The metal is not very bendable and will likely break before bending. You can make your own fish hook earrings. Here’s a how-to we made just for that! J&K http://runningwithsisters.com/how-to-make-earring-wires/
I have a number of post earring orphans that are missing their mate – for instance a pearl stud. They have been languishing in my jewelry drawer for years because they have no other way of hanging. Can anything clever be done with these?
I just found your site and love your video tutorials. They are so clear and easy to follow! Thank you!
I use round nose pliers and make a charm, or pendant, by carefully bending the ear post into a loop or half way around like a bale.
So clever! Thanks for sharing!

Ordered necklace online. Thin chain as small kink in it. How can I get this out. It’s a birthday gift. Thank you.
Hi Evelyn, That’s a bummer. Some types of chain are easier to un-kink than others. Try laying the chain out flat on a table and using straight pins to tug the links apart. If it doesn’t unkink, maybe you can but a plain chain necklace to replace the chain. They sell them at Michael’s and JoAnn with the clasp already attached.
Good luck!
